Beata Kurucz (*1990) je absolventkou pražské AVU, jejíž tvorba propojuje osobní mytologii, introspekci a jemně provokativní ironii. Ve svých obrazech pracuje s tajemnými postavami, silnou barevností a dynamickou gestickou malbou, kde se temná atmosféra střetává s hravostí. Významnými symboly její tvorby jsou zejména Anubis a kůň, který v jejím podání získává mystický význam spojený s instinktem, intuicí a přechodem mezi známým a neznámým světem.
Aktuální výstava Beside Snake Lake představuje intimnější polohu její tvorby prostřednictvím malých formátů. Tyto obrazy fungují jako samostatná díla i studie k větším plátnům a i přes menší rozměr si zachovávají silnou energii a výrazovou intenzitu. Výstava tak nabízí syrový a bezprostřední pohled na autorčin malířský rukopis.
Součástí výstavy jsou také prodejní grafiky, například starší litografie Anubis a nová limitovaná série risografií Year of the Horse a Ultra Surfing Through Life – Horsefoot Seal. Grafika Year of the Horse vychází z čínského horoskopu, podle něhož je rok 2026 rokem ohnivého koně, symbolem dynamické proměny a transformace, což zároveň navazuje na jeden z klíčových motivů autorčiny tvorby.
