Opening of the exhibition BLACK PEARL, a probe into the studios of MeetFactory

Friday, November 21, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The exhibition Black Pearl, a probe into the studios of MeetFactory, brings to the Portheimka Gallery a glimpse of the artistic activities taking place at nearby MeetFactory—the most important multidisciplinary cultural institution in Prague 5 and a true peral on Prague's artistic map. As the subtitle of the exhibition suggests, visitors can take a peek into the MeetFactory studios and discover some of what is being created in the field of contemporary visual art at nearby MeetFactory. The exhibition presents two studio groups in an intertwined way - the work of MeetFactory's permanent residents and the work of artists who come to MeetFactory for artistic residencies. To a certain extent, these are two separate worlds, each occupying a separate floor of the former glass and later diesel engine factory. The exhibition will feature three permanent residents of MeetFactory and ten participants from MeetFactory's international residency program, which is the largest studio residency program in the Czech Republic.
