Until February 24, 2022 you have the chance to visit the exhibition of Jan Heres - Love Buzz at the Dům Radost.
Jan Heres (*1992) was born in St. Gallen, Swiss, he lives and works in Prague. Heres graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and his work was influenced by a one-year internship in a painting studio at the Indonesian Art Institute in Yogyakarta. From this experience, we can perceive the developed and used colors atypical for the Central European author and viewer. Heres' work is full of unprecedented connections between interpersonal and social relationships, a strong color, which is one of the typical features of his expressive style. His paintings present the unencumbered freedom of the human mind in the choice of themes and their depiction through compositional solutions. Wildness and freedom is one of the fundamental characteristics of his paintings, which is developed by unpredictable relationships between the individual elements in the paintings. In his paintings, Heres creates fresh, playful, often bizarre to absurd worlds, the form of which seems to downplay the seriousness that is indisputably present in the paintings.
