Exhibition Hello, Mr. Dientzenhofer

The group exhibition Hello, Mr. Dientzenhofer responds to the Baroque interiors of Prague’s Portheimka Gallery, paying tribute to this architectural gem and its creator, Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer. The exhibition opening will take place on 16 July 2026 at 6:00 PM, and the exhibition will be on view until 4 October 2026. The exhibition is curated by Kristýna Jirátová and Máša Pivovarová.

Eighteen artists, whose work has long explored the principles and characteristic themes of Baroque art, have been invited to participate in this Baroque spectacle:

Karel Balcar, Jiří Černický, Patrik Hábl, Matouš Háša, Václav Jirásek, Tomáš Kubík, Igor Makarevich, Hynek Martinec, Jan Mikulka, Ivan Pinkava, Viktor Pivovarov, Magdalena Roztočilová, Zbyněk Sedlecký, Martin Skalický, Jakub Špaňhel, Richard Štipl, Margita Titlová Ylovsky, and Martin Velíšek.

The opening will also feature the premiere of Sonatina Contrapunctalis for piano and flute, an original composition created especially for the exhibition by Filip Černý, a student at the Prague Conservatory. Blending elements of Baroque and contemporary music, the piece will be performed by Klára Gibišová on piano and Máša Pivovarová on flute.
