Michal Drozen

Michal Drozen (* 1989) was born in Prague. In 2014, he graduated from the drawing studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under the guidance of Jiří Petrbok, previously led by Jitka Svobodová. The local scene knows him primarily as a creator of large-format self-portraits and drawings of panel housing estates.

The author's work often speaks the most about the author himself. This is undoubtedly the case with Michal Drozen. Apart from the roughly five-year period in which he exclusively dealt with self-portraits, his statement is broader - he does not only depict himself in the pictures, but represents a certain generational and cultural statement.
