Tomáš Jetela
Tomas Jetela (*1986) is a Czech painter known for his distinctive visual language that merges abstraction, surrealism, and figuration. His work delves into themes of human existence, identity, and perception, expressed through vibrant colors, dynamic compositions and emotional intensity.
Throughout his career, Jetela has participated in numerous exhibitions both in the Czech Republic and internationally, gaining recognition as a significant voice in contemporary Czech art. His paintings invite viewers to reflect on the complexity of human emotions and the shifting boundaries between reality and imagination.
A recurring concept in Jetela’s work is the duality of the human mind—the coexistence of multiple identities and perspectives within one being. This exploration manifests through an interplay of abstract and figurative forms, creating a field of ambiguity and layered meaning. Each painting becomes an open space of interpretation, where elements and symbols interact in a “mysterious constellation,” offering new readings with every encounter.
