After two years, the third solo exhibition by Jan Kalab aka Point (1978) once again presents this legend of the Czech graffiti scene as a painter. Applying a peculiar mixed technique which combines airbrush with precise brushwork, he conducts another analysis of abstract space, this time predominantly by means of concentric rounded morphology. As seen in his previous work, the central theme of Kalab’s compositions is infinity in its dynamic, ever changing nature. Apart from paintings on canvas, this graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague will present a special series of airbrush works on hand-made paper, three-dimensional objects and a sculpture. As part of the exhibition concept the artist will create an original design for the glass front of the gallery.
