Nothing but boogie
19. 9. 2013 - 12. 10. 2013
Tomas Nemec is one of the most talented contemporary Czech painters of the youngest generation (graduate from Academy of Fine Arts 2011, studio of M. Rittstein) who since the last exhibition in The Chemistry Gallery - Celebration (June 2012) - succeeded mainly abroad and with foreign collectors. At his exhibitions in Stuttgart or Leipzig he presented his works alongside such painters as Rainer Fetting. This was following his presence at the exhibition Ein Tanz at HangArt 7 Gallery in Salzburg that presented representative selection of Czech authors of young and middle aged generation, curated by curators from Vienna and by another successful contemporary figurative painter Daniel Pitin. The curator of his last exhibitions in The Chemistry Gallery was the first winner of Jindrich Chalupecky award among painters Michal Pechoucek who was an advisor to this exhibition as well. Apart from his successes mainly in Germany he took part for example in painting symposium in Bretagne, France and at the exhibition in Paris that took place in connection with the Award of Jan Zrzavy. He exhibited in Brussels (alongside Vaclav Misar) and at several joint and solo exhibitions all over the Czech Republic. Now you can come to see his newest works at the solo exhibition Nothing but boogie that is in a large extent a tribute to important impressionist painter Claude Monet.
