Jiří Marek

Jiří Marek (*1991), graduated from High School of Fine Arts and Design in Brno in painting studio of prof. PetrVeselý. After that he started to study at Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in Painting studio of prof. Jiří Sopko and graduated in Drawing studio of prof. Jiří Petrbok. In 2012 and 2015 he received the Studio Prize, in 2017 he was nominated for the Josefa Hlávka Prize. In 2017 he attended the Felix Jenewein Symposium in Kutná Hora. He has been included in many exhibition projects e.g. The Black Horses (Adam Gallery, Brno, 2015), The Natural World (Prague House, Brussels, 2016), Sex Coma 37 (DSC Gallery, Prague, 2019) or Almost The Magnificent Seven (Trafo Gallery, Prague 2021). He has been exhibiting regularly since 2010.
