The group exhibition *Good Day, Mr. Dientzenhofer* responds to the Baroque interiors of Portheimka in Prague and pays tribute to this architectural gem and its creator, **Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer**. After centuries, the building will once again come alive with a Baroque atmosphere—this time through the lens of contemporary art.

Visitors will encounter key themes that artists living during the construction of the Smíchov villa emphasized in their work. How do motifs of intense spirituality, realistic corporeality, or stark reminders of the transience of human life appear in the work of contemporary artists? Which Baroque masters do today’s artists pay homage to, and in what ways? How are Baroque themes transformed when translated into contemporary forms of expression and materials? Do these themes still have something to tell us today? Can they speak to a twenty-first-century audience?

Eighteen artists whose work has long engaged with the principles and characteristic themes of Baroque art have been invited to participate in this Baroque spectacle set against a backdrop of dramatic chiaroscuro:
