PF 2023

31.12.2022

Dear art lovers,

allow me to thank you for your continued interest in the contemporary art of the youngest generation of Czech visual artists. It is precisely your interest in art that drives us forward and forces us to constantly present you with the most interesting selection from the Czech art scene.

This year, too, we have prepared 10 exhibitions for you in the home space of The Chemistry Gallery in the heart of Prague's Letná in Ovenecká Street and 4 exhibitions in our second exhibition space in Dům Radost - a landmark of Prague's Žižkov. Furthermore, in the year just ending, we organized the first mural art festival in Prague Wall Street, thanks to which six completely new large-format paintings in public space were created in Prague by four respected foreign street artists and two by the Czech legend Michal Škapa.

In June, we prepared the second year of the multi-genre art festival Co nám nedá den má noc in the premises of the Gabriel Loci monastery, where more than a hundred artists presented themselves over five days. And at the end of the year, we successfully presented the Czech visual artist Michal Škapa to more than a hundred thousand spectators at the international art fair SCOPE in Miami during the week when the famous Art Basel/Miami fair is held in this American city.

I feel that our extensive activities can already successfully build on fourteen years of experience and that these experiences are beginning to bear fruits. It is as if all our previous actions have flowed into one river in which they now flow. I am happy with this feeling, and I would therefore like to wish you for the next year that you will also be close to your own fountain of joy, from which a direct stream flows. Next year, The Chemistry Gallery will celebrate its fifteenth birthday. Be there with us!

Thank you for your support and I look forward to meeting you in 2023.

Warmly,

Petr Hajek

The Chemistry Gallery
