Completion of the Milada Horáková mural in Prague 7

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the judicial murder of Milada Horáková, a large-format mural was created in the Prague 7 district, depicting the image of this important Czech lawyer, politician and victim of the communist regime. The mural is created symbolically on the facade of the house at 4 Milada Horáková Street, the place that bears her name - and thus her legacy. The author is the renowned Czech artist Toy_Box.

The aim of the project is not only to honour the memory of Milada Horáková, but also to recall the dangers of totalitarian regimes and the importance of civic courage. The painting is also accompanied by a Czech and English quote, "Walk through the world with your eyes open and listen not only to your aches and pains, but to your concerns,and listen to the pains, interests and desires of others."
