Sára Konečná (*2002) is a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Painting Studio I, Robert Šalanda) and is one of the most distinctive young voices in contemporary figurative painting.
Her work draws on personal memories and focuses on themes of physicality, intimacy, and sensory experience. Her paintings oscillate between tension and lightness—combining a strong narrative charge with a relaxed, almost ethereal painterly gesture.
She is known for working with pure color fields and using an airbrush, which lends her paintings softness, depth, and a specific atmosphere. By combining spray paint and flat painting, she creates volume and subtle transitions.
Originally, she worked with narrative, at times even horror-like scenes, but today she is moving toward more minimalist compositions, where she forms both space and figures in a concise manner.
The exhibition is taking place at Dům Radost, nám. W. Churchilla 2, Prague 3.
